James is the founder and Executive Director of FIRSTUNITY Financial Group. He has over fifteen years experience in investment banking and financial markets.

James founded FIRSTUNITY based on a vision to provide clients with unconflicted and customised solutions. This clearly stated focus extends to working with sophisticated private clients, families, institutions and the charitable sector, coupled with the application of global standards of fiduciary excellence and investment stewardship.

He has worked with global family offices and this experience provides him with unique and global perspective to servicing wealth holders. James has worked with CEOs, Boards, corporate and private clients and has had participation across financial services, manufacturing, retail, health services and philanthropic sectors.

Prior to founding FIRSTUNITY, James managed wholesale, institutional and private funds and established a strong reputation in financial and strategic advisory in his previous roles with leading investment banks, Bankers Trust and UBS Warburg.

James holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws. He maintains involvement in a number of professional associations and community groups and is a Director of a number of Private Companies.
