Our Wealth Management service manages the financial affairs for a select client base including executives, business owners and professionals.

We ensure that all aspects of our clients’ affairs, as individuals and family groups are effective, organised and coordinated.

How we do it

Our Family Office service specialises in providing objective multi-dimensional solutions to protect grow and distribute family wealth.

We guide and assist in regard to relationship coordination and facilitation, inter-generational issues and philanthropic intent, to effectively manage and build on family wealth over successive generations.

In doing so, FIRSTUNITY provides a unique multi-family office drawing upon resources as appropriate to meet all or any of the sometimes complex needs of a significant family group.

Brendan Element
Director and Senior Adviser

Brendan has worked in the financial advice and investment management industry for more than 20 years, originally as a senior adviser with KPMG Financial Services and then as a Director of Financial Planning with St George Private Bank. Brendan established a private advising firm, Pacific Partners Financial Consultants in 2004 before joining FIRSTUNITY Wealth Management. Expertise in superannuation and wealth management is applied to deliver a holistic and high quality personal service to individuals and organisations.

Brendan is a long-standing member of the Financial Planning Association and has attained the Certified Financial Planner CFP® accreditation.

Michael Coupe
Director and Senior Adviser

Michael joined FIRSTUNITY as a Senior Financial Adviser in April 2011 to provide quality advice that is always in the best interest of his clients. Prior to joining FIRSTUNITY Michael worked for WHK Group and then Prescott’s Securities, a national stockbroking and advisory firm where he managed the financial affairs of a diverse group of executive, business owners and retired clients.

Michael works with clients as their trusted adviser, developing tailored solutions to help clients achieve their financial and lifestyle goals.  Michael utilises in-depth knowledge of financial planning strategies and robust investment solutions to help clients simplify their financial affairs and allow them to spend less time worrying about money and more time enjoying life.

Michael offers the complete service to help clients achieve what is important to them.  This includes a broad range of wealth management and financial planning advice including estate planning, insurance, investment strategies, portfolio management, retirement planning, superannuation (including SMSF’s) and tax planning.

Michael is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®)  and has been a long standing member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA). Michael has is also a SMSF Specialist Advisor (SSA) with the Self Managed Super Fund Professional’s Association of Australia (SPAA®) the leading association within the Self Managed Super Fund Industry in Australia.

Tim Reppen
Director and Senior Adviser

Tim has been managing the wealth of private clients for over 16 years. Tim specialises in providing integrated solutions for his clients complex financial planning, investment, insurance and estate planning needs. This comprehensive service involves planning, implementing and ongoing review of the most effective financial strategies for his clients, ensuring they reach their potential for continued success.

Tim has attained the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) accreditation in addition to being a Chartered Accountant (Australian and New Zealand). Tim also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Australian National University.

Rohan McPherson
Director and Senior Adviser

Rohan has over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, specialising in investment and risk advice, superannuation and retirement planning strategies.

Rohan has completed a Bachelor of Economics; a Diploma in Financial Planning and is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) practitioner, the highest financial planning designation awarded by the Financial Planning Association. He is a long-standing member of the Financial Planning Association.

Rohan is a CFA® (Chartered Financial Analyst) Charterholder having successfully completed the CFA Program in 2013, the most respected and recognized investment credential in the world.

Amy Reed
Financial Adviser

Amy is passionate about working with individuals and families to help them make the most out of their life. With a ‘sky’s the limit’ attitude complemented with careful and strategic planning, Amy believes anything is possible.

Through exploring the details of what each client really wants and any fears that may be holding them back, Amy develops tailored strategies to help them achieve their desired outcomes. Amy provides holistic advice and is skilled in the areas of budgeting, investments, risk management, insurance, superannuation, retirement planning, estate planning and taxation.

Amy has worked hard to be in her privileged position with a double degree in Psychology and Business Administration from Macquarie University. She has completed the Diploma of Financial Planning, the Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning, is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and has completed the Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) certification. She is also always continuing her professional development to stay up-to-date with the ever changing world.

Imke Steyer
Financial Adviser

Imke is a skilled and qualified Financial Adviser with substantial experience in financial management, analysis, and taxation. She is motived by a genuine desire to help people make the right financial choices for a better future. Imke is described by her peers as empathetic and a genuine listener, able to promptly comprehend her client’s needs and assist them in formulating a plan towards their financial ambitions.

Imke sees herself as a partner for life, always there to navigate her clients through the ever-changing landscape of financial legislation and markets. The client experience with Imke is highly collaborative, recognising unique circumstances, varying life stages and goals of each and every client. In turn delivering holistic, robust, and tailored financial strategies so Imke’s clients can feel confident about their financial future.

Imke’s expertise and experience includes (but is not limited to) cash flow management, budgeting, personal insurances, superannuation, retirement planning, estate planning, taxation and investing. Imke holds a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning in addition to being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Munich. As part of her ongoing professional development, Imke stays up to date with the latest development in financial markets and relevant legislative changes.
